DIY Christmas Present: Peppermint Body Butter

Peppermint Body Butter




Ingredients

1/2 a cup of Shea Butter
1/2 a cup of Cocoa Butter
1/2 a cup of Coconut Oil
1/2 a cup of Olive Oil
Peppermint Extract Oil


Steps

1. In a glass jug add all ingredients -except peppermint oil

2. Bring to medium heat (gas mark 2 for me), stir constantly until all ingredients are melted



3. Bring off heat and let cool slightly (A few minutes)


4. Move to fridge for an hour and a half, or until it's starting to harden and still somewhat soft

5. Whip it with a whisk for about 8-10 minutes until fluffy

6. Return to fridge for 20-30 minutes to set (It may be less for you, so keep checking)

7. Put in a jar

8. Add label with a ribbon or string

Shea Butter is good for; renewing, repairing and protecting your skin and harsh climates, so cold winds of Scotland -I'm ready for ya!
Cocoa Butter, is good for dry sky, as it penetrates deeper than the top layer of your skin so it's a REALLY good moisturiser, also helps reduce stretch marks
Coconut Oil, good for dry and irritated skin -people with eczema need this in their lives!
Olive Oil is a good for hydrating and soothing the skin - I some times just rub olive oil on my skin before bed if my eczema is acting up
Peppermint is a natural anti-inflammatory, and so helps to sooth aching muscles
